peer reviews

I really enjoyed the peer reviewing process because it helps us look at our papers in a different way. As I read my group mates papers I began to think of ways to improve their papers. But really I was unknowingly thinking of ways to improve my own paper. I was able to read my group mates papers and think about ways to make them relate better to the audience or to help them write about how to equate some things in their own stories to literacy. Then the next time I read my own paper I began to ask myself basically the same questions that I asked my group mates. Then making my revisions became easy and I think made my paper better. It was hard at first for me to review my teammates papers and leave comments at first because I did not know what to say. I kept thinking what if I am being too harsh or what if I am not being harsh enough. But once I got started I could not stop I made sure to give my team mates positive feed back to because I really wanted not to be mean. The comments that my group left for me about my paper helped out a lot because they read it and explained parts that they did not understand to me that I thought made worked well where I had it. But it took my group to show how some parts did not make sense.
