Blogging did take a lot of getting used to; I am still
working on it. Especially when we first began our blogging and we had a lot of free
writes to choose what we want to write about. It used to take me a fairly long
time to think of interesting things to blog about. I would try and think of
anything that I did that day that I could write a quick and easy 250 words
about. It took a while to tell a story of something that happened when we first
began blogging in our class. I was not particularly found of free writes at
first. Although it did not take me long to get the hang of the free writes.
What really helped me to get the hang of blogging was commenting on the other
student’s blogs. It helped me see how all the other students handled their free
writes. Then it became easy to figure out how to write my blogs. I like the
commenting on the blogs because it lets me read other blogs, which can be
pretty interesting. Some if not most of the others blogs are interesting and I enjoy
reading them. I think that the blogging has improved my writing because it is a
completely a different form of writing. I definitely enjoy blogging more than
any other kind of writing that I have done in the past. Because blogging is
basically just saying how you feel about the subject that you choose to blog
about.

peer reviews
I really enjoyed the peer reviewing process because it helps
us look at our papers in a different way. As I read my group mates papers I
began to think of ways to improve their papers. But really I was unknowingly
thinking of ways to improve my own paper. I was able to read my group mates
papers and think about ways to make them relate better to the audience or to
help them write about how to equate some things in their own stories to
literacy. Then the next time I read my own paper I began to ask myself basically
the same questions that I asked my group mates. Then making my revisions became
easy and I think made my paper better. It was hard at first for me to review my
teammates papers and leave comments at first because I did not know what to
say. I kept thinking what if I am being too harsh or what if I am not being
harsh enough. But once I got started I could not stop I made sure to give my
team mates positive feed back to because I really wanted not to be mean. The
comments that my group left for me about my paper helped out a lot because they
read it and explained parts that they did not understand to me that I thought
made worked well where I had it. But it took my group to show how some parts
did not make sense.

working out
Working out is a hard thing to motivate yourself to do. When
this semester started and my roommate and me found out that the school had a
weight room that we could go to and all we had to do was swipe our card, we
were like hell ya we are going to work out all the time. We soon found out that
this was not the case. Since classes have started we have worked out two times.
One of them being tonight and every time we have gone it has been packed. The
weight room is pretty nice I think they need to find away to not have it so
clustered around the free weights. There are always so many people around the
free weights it took a while for me to find an area I could do some curls. My
roommate and I have decided again that we are going to work out almost everyday
of the week. I know that we have said this before but now we are a little more
prepared. We have made set days to do certain workouts like some days we will
only do upper body, and on others lower body and cardio on days we don’t feel like
going to the gym to do legs. Also since we have been here for a few weeks we
know our schedules better so we can make time to go to the weight room.
Hopefully we can stick with it and do our best to work out as many times a week
as possible. This way we will not have to fear the freshmen 15 and do our best
to stay in some sort of shape.
my voice
Some how i didn't post this on my blog i posted it on the moodle site my bad.I like most people do not think I have any kind of accent. I do not have a very southern or Northern accent. My family is all from up north in Indiana and they all speak with an accent that makes them sound like they are from the mid-west. Then my family all kind of migrated down to North Carolina. When I say family I mean everyone my grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, and cousins. So I have been raised around a bunch of family that speaks like they are still up there. They say pop for any kind of soft drink and also they call all sodas a coke. So I kind of adopted that and other things like that in my accent when I was younger. Then I realized, as I got older that was not how people in North Carolina spoke and my accent evolved again I tried to pick up many southern terms and ways of speaking. Then Yet again as I began to change my accent to what it is today. I realized that did not have to say Y’all and act southern with every word I spoke. I kind of noticed that when I began to speak with a southern accent my family would began to do things to stop that accent. They would ask me to repeat almost every word I spoke and say that they could not understand me because I was talking to fast or I was mumbling. Which is how my accent was formed it is a kind of combination of a Midwestern and a little southern. That may be why I fell like it goes unnoticed even from me. I like the way that I talk because I feel like I created it. I made my own accent out of an accent I picked up from my family when I was young and an accent I picked up by growing up in the piedmont of North Carolina.
